Savory Cranberry Pork Roast Recipe
Serves: 10
Ingredients:
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 lbs pork butt (with bone)
Sauce:
1 (14 1/2 oz) can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 cup Stonewall Orange Cranberry Marmalade
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 1/2 tsp chicken soup base or 4 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tsp prepared horseradish
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried thyme
Directions:
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Quickly sear each side of the roast in the hot oil, about 1 minute each side. Place the roast in your slow cooker, fat side up. If using bouillon, crush the cubes. Combine the cranberry sauce, orange marmalade, mustard, soup base/bouillon, horseradish, garlic powder, and thyme. Spoon the sauce over the pork roast. Cover and cook on low 8 -10 hours.
